I came to know that this is because of the impact of the English language, most of the so called educated people use English vocabularies for their day to day communication even if the speak their mother tongue (Tamil or some other language), for example, bus, auto, taxi, fan, mixie, grinder, TV, laptop, cell phone, computer, shoe, socks, pen, ball pen, watch, shirt, pant, panty, vest, brief, hand, mouth, nose, eyes, leg. When I read news papers, watch TV news, hear speeches of reputed heads of institutions and politicians, they use this type of new language (which uses the English language's syntactical structure in Tamil), which is not at all seen in day to day Tamil language, or in the language which has been presented in text books or academic studies. During these days I can see a new trend of translation which is widely accepted and populated by many like the media, particularly people who use formal language.
